Our Story
The story of Metro Health Care Services is one rooted in deep personal experience and a profound calling to serve. Rose Sumpter, the founder, embarked on her journey in the healthcare field over two decades ago, working with a traveling care agency. This early exposure to the intimate needs of patients in their homes ignited a passion within her.
However, it was Rose's personal experiences with family members in hospice and convalescent centers that truly shaped her vision. Witnessing firsthand the sometimes-inadequate care and impersonal treatment in these facilities fueled a desire to create a different kind of healthcare experience. She understood the profound impact that compassionate, individualized care could have on a person's well-being, especially during vulnerable times.
Furthermore, Rose's 35-year-old daughter, who lives with cerebral palsy, requires dedicated live-in care. This personal journey of providing long-term care for a loved one deepened Rose's empathy and understanding of the challenges families face. She recognized the importance of not only providing medical assistance but also offering emotional support and companionship.
In 2022, driven by her faith and a desire to make a difference, Rose founded Metro Health Care Services. She combined her extensive professional experience with her deeply personal understanding of caregiving to create an agency that prioritizes compassion, dignity, and respect.
Rose's vision extends beyond simply providing care; she aims to create a movement that reimagines how healthcare is delivered.
